AUTUMN MAGIC CHOKEBERRY
An upright branching habit with shiny green leaves. Showy white flowers that emerge in spring, maturing in fall into glossy black berries that are high in antioxidants and are excellent for jams, jellies, syrups, teas, juice, and wine. Aronia is an excellent shrub for naturalized areas, boggy areas, and the edges of marshes, but it can also tolerate drier soils. The fruit can be left on the plants as a winter food source for birds. Aronia is well suited for windbreaks and erosion control. The foliage turns brilliant shades of orange, red, and purple in the fall.
